Avatar.. World's costliest Movie

James Cameroon, the director of Titanic, is once again set to make history with his forthcoming film known as "AVATAR".With the budget of over $247 million , this film is the costliest film in the world.Released on 18th December 2009, this film has satisfied the expectations of the people. This film is based on the alien concept, but with a slight variation, where the Humans are considered as aliens, since they want to use the resource of the planet called "Pandora".


Graphics work in this film are amazing and even the trailer speaks about the amount of graphic works involved in this film.The concept of virtual camera is used in this film and this allows the director to observe directly on a monitor how the actor's virtual counterparts interact with the movie's digital world in real time and adjust and direct the scenes just as if shooting live action.This is considered as the dream project for "James Cameroon", as he was working on this script from 1994.Watch the trailer here and this will definitely makes you an Avatar fan...

Officially, now Avatar is the costliest film in the world as it crossed the revenue earned by James Cameroon blockbuster "Titanic". Cameroon broke his own record. the stats below will give you an idea, how Avatar is performing well at the box office.


Titanic:

Budget: Rs. 925 cores ($200 million)

Gross Revenue: Rs. 8526 crores ( $ 1.84 billion )

Avatar:

Budget: Rs. 1096 cores ($247 million)

Gross Revenue: Rs. 8599 crores ( $ 1.85 billion ){Till January, 2010}

By February end, the film has crossed 2.5 billion US dolors
