Best Hindi movies to watch: Discussion Area

Hi I ve watched some Hindi movie, and was very much impressed. So let me share the information about those movies.Let me number the movie to know the actual list and this number doesn't rank the movie.

1) Sholay

This is a 1975 film, starring Amitabh Bachan and Darmendra and the basic concept of this film is Friendship. This was a all time ht in Indian Cinema and it grossed $ 160 million ( 768 crores) against its budget of $ 160,000 ( 2 crores). At Mumbai's Minerva theater, it was shown in regular shows for three continuous years, and then in matinee shows for two more years. Even in 240th week of its release, Sholay was packing the theaters. Sholay grossed about 35 crores ( Indian money) rupees in its first run, a record that remained unbroken for the next nineteen years. Sholay ran for more than five years.

2) Lagaan

This is a pre historic story of the 19th century (creative story), when India was under the British Empire. Here the Britishers once challenge the local peasants for a cricket match and according to the deal if the farmers win, they don't need to pay tax for 3 years, otherwise the tax amount will increase three times. Unfortunately for the farmers, they don't even know the basics of cricket, but the rest of the film shows how they worked hard and the result of this film is super.Music is excellent, thanks to AR Rahman and the film was nominated for an Oscar for Best foreign Language film, but unfortunately it failed to win ( many believed since the story of the film is against British)

3) Rang De Basanti

Amazing masterpiece. This film is about a foreign film maker ( documentary) who wants to do a film about Indian freedom fighters in India and the film explains how she makes the film with the help of four Indian boys( which also incudes Amir Khan). amazing movie and more than than excellent music.

4) Tahaan:

This is a story about  a Kashmir boy and also explains how he falls in the hands of terrorist accidentally. It is an emotional movie and more than that the cinematography and the direction of the movie is amazing

5) Taare Zameen Par

This is a story about a small boy who hates school and couldnt concentrate in studies. All his teachers scold him, rather than finding a solution. Then he was moved to another school and there one of the teacher ( Amir Khan) understands his problem and the rest of the story explains the bond develops between them and also explains how the boy begin to show interest in academics.

6) Chak De India

This is a sports film and Sharukh Khan has done a lead role in this move, as the coach of Indian Woman's National Hockey team. The word 'Chak De " means " Common" and virtually everyone stated to use this for all sports after the release of the movie.

7) A Wednesday

This is great thriller, but the concept is universal. this showcases the felling and pain of a common man, who decides to go for a war against Terrorist  and the story explains how he managed to managed to kill the terrorists very brilliantly. Superb movie.
